Does the camera eliminate shaky hands? Technology has improved and all camcorder should include this but make sure you double check.

2.Check out the zoom
You will need to check out the optical zoom capabilities before you buy. It can be hard to check it out in some shops but the main shops should have the camcordors ON display. 3.Resolution
All camcorders should come HD and the highest you can get in HD is 1080p so far.

4. Video Format
You will need to make sure that your video editing software is compatible with your camcorder. Most camcorders  video format is in MPV  MOV, AVI and AVCHD.
